While working in Madhukhali of Faridpur, a daily labour laborer named Shakeel (17) fell from a building under construction, and he later died. He is from Hakruil village of Nachol police station in Chapainawabganj district.
The incident took place on Wednesday (June 12) at around 8 o’clock in the morning after falling from the five-storey building of Madhukhali Upazila Parishad’s new building. Shakeel was seriously injured when he fell down while working on the building in the morning. Later he was rescued and taken to Madukhali Upazila Health Complex. When the doctor on duty sent him to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman Hospital, he died on the way.
Madukhali Police Station In-charge (OC) confirmed the death. Miraj Hossain said that legal measures are under process in this regard.
Madukhali upazila chairman Mohammad Muraduzzaman said Shakeel died of injuries after falling from the 5-storey building under construction of upazila parishad. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station. The body has been kept in the mortuary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
