President Md. Abdul Hamid on Tuesday hoped that the human rights organisations would play an important role alongside the government in protecting human rights in the country.
In a message on the eve of the International Human Rights Day, the President said the present government is very much sincere in protecting human rights in the country.
He said human rights issues have been incorporated in the country’s constitution as fundamental rights to protect rights of the people of the country.
The President said the theme of this year’s human rights day ‘Human Rights 365’ is very important and hoped that it would encourage all to work throughout the year in establishing human rights.
