Feni District Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Parishad President Shukdev Nath Tapan has demanded the withdrawal of OC Khaled Dayan of Feni’s Sonagazi Model Police Station. He made this demand to the administration in a protest meeting and human chain organized by Feni District Jewellery Association in the premises of Feni Shahid Minar on Monday.
A gold shop was recently robbed at Jamadar Bazaar in Sonagazi, Feni. Shop owner Arjun Bhaduri was hacked and injured by the robbers and died in the hospital last twelve days. The District Jewellery Association organized a protest meeting on the death of Arjun Bhaduri. Oikya Parishad leader Shukdev Nath Tapan said that the robbers have been found in the CCTV footage, but the culprits have not been arrested so far.
Locals informed that rate of theft and robbery has increased in Sonagazi. Cow theft is happening daily. In these incidents, they are afraid of thieves and robbers. As peace and security in public life is being destroyed, they called upon the local MP, Feni District Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Chittagong Range DIG and IGP to take necessary measures to protect the law and order situation.
