A woman named Jannatul Ferdous has appealed to the Chief Advisor and other concerned individuals to free her from the murder case of her husband.
She made this appeal at a press conference held on Monday at the Sagar-Runi Auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.
Jannatul said that her husband, Hasan Ahmed, the former chairman (founder) of Popular Life Insurance, is the main accused in the murder case. She claimed that after being released on bail from jail, she is asserting her innocence. However, Kabir Ahmed, younger brother of Hasan Ahmed and his family have rejected all of her allegations, calling them baseless.
Jannatul Ferdous further said that her husband, Hasan Ahmed, suddenly suffered a stroke in 2020 and fell ill, remaining bedridden at home. During this time, he resigned from Popular Life Insurance. Afterward, Hasan Ahmed’s personal manager, Bidyut Ghosh, and his younger brother, Kabir Ahmed, and Musa Ahmed began conspiring to embezzle his property.
