Apart from modelling, Jannatul Ferdous Peya, popularly known as Peya Jannatul in showbiz, is
also active in the legal profession. She once worked as an assistant lawyer in the chambers of Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman, who was a member of the Parliament. A few years ago, a video clip from that time changed Peya’s identity.
In the video, Peya is seen standing next to Barrister Suman in a black coat, smiling. It instantly went viral on social media.
Peya was a new face to many at the time. But that one glimpse of a smile put her at the top of the trending list overnight. Numerous reels, memes and videos were created around the clip.
Peya Jannatul was recently present at an event. While answering various questions from journalists, the topic of that smile came up in the discussion.
She said that she had to pay a huge price for that smile; especially after August 5. The lawyer-actress-model said, “I don’t know what mistake I was laughing at, and the amount of suffering I went through because of it going viral, especially after August 5, is beyond words.”
Although there are many lawyers in the showbiz arena, it is rare for a star to practice regularly in court. Peya Jannatul is an exception.
However, this star may have never imagined that a smile would create such a big discussion and embarrass her.
