Popular Pakistani actress Durefishan Saleem is facing a lot of criticism on social media for her recent comments on a television show. Durefishan was a guest on actress Nida Yasir’s Ramadan show ‘Shaan-e-Suhoor’.
There, Durefisan revealed that he had once stolen a ‘Jaynamaz’ (prayer mat) from an elite five-star hotel. Durefisan’s confession shocked the show’s host Nida Yasir and co-host Mikael Zulfiqar.
The video of that event has gone viral on social media. In it, Durefishan is seen laughingly recounting the incident.
The actress said on that event, “I once stole a prayer mat from a big hotel because it was so soft and wonderful.”
When the audience laughed at her words, actor Mikael Zulfikar asked in surprise, “Weren’t you ashamed of stealing the prayer mat?”
In response, the actress said, “I thought that since I will use it for praying, maybe Allah won’t catch me doing this.”
Actor Mikael couldn’t hold back his laughter after Durefisan’s comment.
He immediately joked back, “Then those who steal shoes from outside the mosque should also be forgiven.”
