According to the pre-scheduled itinerary, Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team was set to play two four-day matches along with three one-day matches during their tour of Pakistan. Following this, the Bangladesh National Cricket team is scheduled to play a two-match Test series against Pakistan. However, recent significant changes in the country’s political landscape have cast doubt over the timely execution of these series.

The Chief Coordinator of Programmes of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Minhajul Abedin Nannu has expressed his desire to overcome these uncertainties with everyone’s cooperation.

Following Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, there has been much speculation and rumor within Bangladesh’s sports community. Amid the political instability, the Bangladesh ‘A’ team’s tour of Pakistan has already been delayed by two days. There are concerns about whether the national team’s tour to Pakistan will proceed as planned or even take place at all.

“Now, we must keep cricket ongoing with everyone’s cooperation. We need support to ensure that all bilateral series, the ‘A’ team’s tour, and the upcoming Pakistan Test series happen on time. We are determined to advance cricket with everyone’s help.” Nannu said at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) premises on Tuesday.

“There is no disagreement here. It is our responsibility to advance cricket. We want good governance. We want to advance our country smoothly and with dignity. This is what we all desire,” he added.
