Instructing not to make socially unacceptable people and identified friends of the Awami League members the BNP’s standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said that the membership will be given ‘in the light of day, not in the dark’.
He said this at the inauguration ceremony of the ‘BNP membership collection and renewal’ program initiated by the Chattagram Divisional BNP at the party office premises at Nasimon Bhaban in Kazir Deuri area in Chattagram city on Saturday(17 May). Amir Khasru said, “On the one hand, there are unacceptable people in the society who are extortionists, corrupt, and involved in anti-social activities. We must try to keep these people out as much as possible.”
“Secondly, there are identified friends of the Awami League. If these two classes are excluded, the rest can become our members. We must try to make the largest section of society our members. This membership will be done in the light of day. Not in the dark. In every area, members will be made in the light of day like this. Commenting on the new dreams of the people of Bangladesh after Sheikh Hasina was ousted, Amir Khasru said, “The dream of building a country. What do the new generation want? They want a democratic environment in the country. Where the common people of the country can participate.”
The country must have an economic system. In which people from all walks of life can participate. BNP’s new slogan is – democratizing the economy. We will make arrangements for everyone to participate in the development of Bangladesh in the coming days. Improving the lives of the people of the country through political democracy and economic democracy.
BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie and Treasurer M Rashiduzzaman Millat were special guests at the event. The party’s Chattagram Divisional Organizing Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Shamim presided over the event. BNP National Executive Committee Co-Organizing Secretary Harunur Rashid Chowdhury and Mir Mohammad Helaluddin conducted the event.
