Bangladesh scored 294 runs in the first One Day International (ODI) against West Indies after electing to bat first at Warner Park in Sint Kitts of West Indies on December 8. But they tasted a five-wicket defeat though they scored a massive total.

The Tigers scored 227 runs in the second ODI against the Caribbeans after putting into bat first at the same venue on December 10. They suffered a seven-wicket defeat in the second ODI and they could not make any resistance in the 2nd ODI. Bangladesh conceded two consecutive defeats after 2016 against West Indies.

Promising pacer Tanzim Hasan thinks that they had lack of consistence in batting.
Tanzim Hasan said, ” We batted really well in the first ODI. Our batters showed an outstanding batting display in the first ODI. We lost wickets back-to-back. I think it was a collapse. If we did not loss back-to-back wickets and the batters could make notable duo and batted with more commitment, we could make a better score.”

Tanzim said, “We got three half-centuries in the first ODI but we got only one half-century in the second ODI. Experienced Mahmudullah Riyad only got back-to-back half-century. I don’t think the batters were in hurry. Tanzid Hasan batted after follow his own style.

The Windies bowled really well. The bowlers of the opponent team got swing and length. We could bat with more commitment and more attention in batting. The pitch was act in favour of batting. If we gave more patience, we could cover our lacking.”

He said, ” I have always tried to do good batting when my team need from me. I have always tried to do my best in batting. I have always give attention in batting in my matches and also in net.

Our Head Coach Phil Simmons gave tips to our batters to face the Caribbean bowlers. He advised us to give appropriate mind-set during batting performance when we batted against Windies bowlers.”
