We are satisfied to play for Bangladesh: Masura

Nasrin Sports Academy of Bangladesh left Dhaka for Kathmandu on Wednesday to play in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Club Cup Championship.
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Nasrin Sports Academy have maintained secrecy to form the squad and announced the squad, which will play in the upcoming SAFF Women’s Club Cup Championship. A total of five teams will take part in the SAFF Women’s Club Cup Championship.
They are: Nasrin Sports Academy, East Bengal Club of India, Karachi City FC of Pakistan, Transport United Ladies FC of Bhutan and hosts Armed Police Force Club of Nepal. The first phase of SAFF Women’s Club Cup Championship will be held on single league basis.
Top two teams will play in the final. The winning team of the final will be the champions. Nasrin Sports Academy will face hosts tomorrow, take on Karachi City FC on December 8, meet East Bengal on December 14 and face Transport United on December 17.
Before leaving the country to play in an international football competition, the BFF and Nasrin Sports Academy didn’t disclose the squad. A source said to this correspondent Alpi Akter, who is a player of Bangladesh Under-17 Women’s Football squad, Sauravi Akanda Prity who played for Bangladesh Women’s squad, Arpita Biswas who is the Captain of Bangladesh Under-17 Women’s Football squad will play for Nasrin Sports Academy. Nasrin Sports Academy didn’t get enough time to prepare them up to the mark to play the SAFF Women’s Club Cup Championship.
Meanwhile, the noted female footballers, who are now out of Bangladesh National Women’s Football team are now busy for the Women’s Futsal Competition. The Women’s Futsal Competition will be held in Thailand from January 13 to January 26. Though Sabina Khatun, Masura Parvin, Krishna Rani and Sumaya Matsushima are out of Bangladesh National Women’s Football team but they are taking part in the coaching camp for Futsal Competition. Masura Parvin said, ” We are footballers. We are satisfied to play for Bangladesh for National Football team or for Futsal Competition.”
Chairman of the Futsal Committee of BFF Imranur Rahman said, ” We called 70 booters for the Futsal trial. Of them, 25 footballers are taking part in the training of Futsal.”
Earlier, Sabina Khatun played in the Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers in Thailand in 2018. Sabina and Sumaya played in the Futsal League in Maldives for couple of times. But they were not included in the squad of Nasrin Sports Academy as they did not get No Objection Certificate (NOC) from BFF.
After completing the Tri-Nation series Football, the footballers of Bangladesh National Football squad will take part in the residential camp in Chattogram after some days hiatus. BFF has a plan that they the players of Bangladesh National Football squad will join a training camp in Chattogram. Then they may participate in training and preparation matches in Malaysia.
