Global electronics brand Walton is going to expand its brand business in Sri Lanka. In this regard, Walton has inked a deal with the Sri Lankan firm ‘Monik Trading Private Limited’.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. and Monik Trading at a splendid programme held at Marino Beach Hotel in Colombia recently.
Monik Trading’s Managing Director Dr. Wasala Maduwantha Ariyapala as well as Walton Hi-Tech’s Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Financial Officer Md. Ziaul Alam, FCA, ACA (ICAEW) inked the deal on behalf of their respective organizations.
Bangladesh High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Andalib Elias attended the function as the chief guest. Among others, Bangladesh High Commission’s Deputy Chief of Mission Jannatul Habib, First Secretary Nizamul Islam, Walton Global Business Division (GBD) Vice-President Abdur Rouf, Walton’s Deputy Company Secretary Md. Enamul Haq, FCS, and Monik Trading’s Chief Finance M.N.H. Nashwaq and Assistant General Manager Kasun Mahanama were also present.
