Bangladeshi electronics giant Walton has been showcasing and selling out more than 100 models of frost, non-frost refrigerator and freezer centering the Eid-ul-Azha or Qurbani Eid, one of the largest religious festival of Muslim to be observed across the country on August 1.
In addition, Walton offered Tk 10 lakh cash or crores of different values sure vouchers on the purchase of its any model of refrigerator until the Qurbani Eid.
Like the previous couple of Qurbani Eids, Walton set a target of selling out highest number of fridges in the local market ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
To achieve the target, Walton has been displaying highest number of models in the local fridge market. Among the 100 plus models of refrigerators, there are 76 models of frost and 20 models of non-frost refrigerators. In addition, total of 15 models of freezers, including 3 new models, are available in Walton outlets.
Centering this Qurbani Eid, the local brand released 50 new models of fridge. Of which, some models of Walton fridge like huge energy efficient inverter technology’s eye-catching side by side door, glass door and BSTI’s highest energy rating certified ‘Five Star’ models of frost and non-frost refrigerator became the customers prime attraction. Along with this, Walton’s 50-50 model refrigerator, in which similar space for freezer or deep part as well as normal part, also drew the customers’ attention as they need not to buy alternative freezer for storing large volume of meat or fish.
Walton Refrigerator’s Product Manager Shahiduzzaman Rana said, the ongoing offer titled ‘I will be millionaire once again’ are getting good response all over the country. Till July 22, six customers in different places were awarded Tk 10 lakh cash on the purchase of Walton refrigerator under the nationwide ongoing Digital Campaign Season-7.”
The Walton fridge millionaires were: Tailor Wazed Ali in Gazipur, towel seller Solayman Haque in Naogaon, poultry farmer Chaithwai Aoung Marma in Rangamati, office assistant of the Khansama Upazila Project Implementation Office in Dinajpur Ranjit Chandra Roy, housewife Suchona Rahman in the capital’s South Kafrul and fish farmer Nazim Uddin in Chattogram.
Walton Refrigerator’s Chief Executive Officer Anisur Rahman Mallik said that the Walton was on the top of selling highest number of fridge during the period of last couples of Qurabani Eid.
In last year’s Qurbani Eid, Walton made a record of selling out around 10 lakh units of fridge in the local market, saying it he noted that now, Walton fridge secured 75 percent market share.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, he added, the sales of Walton fridge is satisfactory.
In this Qurbani, Walton’s 100 plus models of frost, non-frost refrigerators and freezers are available. Prices of these models are within the range of Tk10,990 to Tk 69,900.
Walton refrigerators received several standard certifications at national and international level including BSTI’s ‘Five Star’ energy rating, ISO, OHSAS, EMC, CB, ROHS, SASO, ESMA, ECHA, G-Mark, E-Mark etc. Walton made refrigerators are being exported to different countries.
