Former Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz and commentator Ramiz Raja have lauded Bangladesh’s young pacer Nahid Rana, calling him a promising talent with a bright future in international cricket.
Wahab, renowned for his fiery pace and aggressive bowling style, shared his first impression of Rana and expressed his admiration for the youngster’s raw speed and potential.
“I believe he’s a highly talented young player. He really impressed me back then, and it was thrilling to watch how fast he bowled. I wish him all the best and hope he keeps performing well for Bangladesh.” Wahab said to the traveling Bangladeshi journalists in Pakistan during the rain-affected match between Bangladesh and Pakistan at the media center of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
At just 22, Rana has been making a mark in international cricket, gaining recognition for his express pace and his knack for troubling batters.
Pakistan’s another former player, Ramiz applauded Rana’s pace and ability to maintain the right length, saying, “It’s not just his pace but also his ability to maintain the right length that stands out. He’s still young and has room to grow. I believe he’ll get even quicker, but what impresses me the most is his attitude and the consistency he shows with his speed.”
