A faction of pro-Awami League (AL) teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) vowed on Saturday that they would continue their movement demanding immediate removal of Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Aminul Haque Bhuyan from his post even during Eid-ul-Fitr vacation.
Convener of the teacher’s panel Prof Syed Shamsul Alam confirmed the matter and said that they had decided to continue their agitation.
The university is going on a 12-day Eid vacation from Sunday, said a press release.
The faction’s teachers alleged that the VC was involved in corruption, nepotism, financial opacity, irregularity and also misbehaved with the teachers of the university.
