Visa inks deals with EBL to launch Flex card in BD

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has announced plans to launch the Visa Flexible Credential (VFC)-also known as Flexin Bangladesh, through a strategic partnership with Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) held in the capital.

This will mark the country’s first introduction of this innovative payment solution, offering cardholders enhanced flexibility and control over their finances.

Visa Flex is designed to transform the cardholder experience by enabling a single Visa credential-the 16-digit card number-to access multiple funding accounts, including savings, credit and prepaid accounts.

With this unified approach, EBL customers will be able to manage multiple accounts through one card and set smart transaction rules based on their preferences, such as transaction amount or currency, says a press relelase.

In addition to financial convenience, Visa Flex will allow consumers to earn and redeem rewards across different programmes, using one seamless payment credential.
