The concluding ceremony of the month-long basic training course for the members of the village police force of the Union Parishad in Kulaura was held on Tuesday afternoon at the National Institute of Local Government at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
The closing ceremony was organized by the initiative of (NILG) and in collaboration with the Upazila Administration.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mohiuddin presided over the ceremony and addressed the gathering as the chief guest.
Moulvibazar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Israil Hossain He said that through the month-long training, the village police of the union parishad have been made aware of their responsibilities and duties.
If the results of this training are implemented there will be positive changes in the service system of the Union Parishad, which will help ensure the safety and quality of services for the rural people.
He also said that awareness must be raised to eradicate drugs and prevent their abuse. All crimes are rooted in Drugs.
Therefore, media workers and union council chairmen should play a strong role and bring drug dealers under the law.
He also emphasized on protecting the environment, saying that for the sake of future generations.
those who are polluting the environment by cutting soil and hills should also be brought under the law. Union chairmen should play a leading role in these matters.

Special guests spoke at the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Zakir Hossain, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Nasima Begum, UP Chairman Azizur Rahman. Monir and trainee Abdur Rahman Khan.
In the president’s speech, UNO Mohiuddin said that through this training, the village police members have become more efficient. The people will get the benefits of this very soon. 13 police stations of the upazila have been trained in the training.
40 village policemen of the union participated. At the end of the meeting, the chief guest distributed crests and certificates among the best trainees. The first place was won by Abdur Rahman Khan of Hajipur Union, the second by Karmadha Union.
Crests were distributed to Selim Ahmed and Sushanta Kumar Das of the third Joychandi Union and certificates were distributed among other trainees.
