Village court coordination meet concludes

A semi-annual coordination meeting was held in Feni to review the progress of village court activities and what to do at the district level. Feni District Deputy Commissioner Musammat Shahina Akhtar was present as the chief guest and Feni District Local Government Department Deputy Director Golam Md. Baten presided over the meeting.
Additional District Magistrate Shafiqur Ridwan Arman Shakeel and 6 Upazila Nirbahi Officers and 43 Union Parishad Secretary were also present. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on the progress of the village court cases of 43 unions of Feni district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the village judges requested the judges to be diligent in ensuring that the citizens get a fair trial. She requested the concerned to take necessary initiatives to construct Ejlas (court) in those unions which do not have.
