An exchange meeting was held to maintain communal harmony in Ishwardi. On Friday (August 9) in the Karmakarpara Matri Mandir of the city, this exchange meeting was held with the BNP leaders of the Hindu community.
Speakers in the meeting called for maintaining communal harmony and said that a group of students is indulging in various conspiracies to undermine the achievements of the student masses and the victory of the people of the country. There has never been any incident of temple attack, looting and persecution of Hindu community in Ishwardi. We believe in communal harmony. This country belongs to all of us; we are all citizens of this country. Now to save the country and ensure the safety of the Hindu community, everyone should unite and build a beautiful Bangladesh.
The meeting was presided over by Sunil Chakraborty, the upazila president of Puja Udjar Parishad conducted by Biki Agarwal, District Chhatra Dal leader.
Ishwardi town BNP acting convenor SM Fazlur Rahman was the chief guest at the meeting. Member Secretary Bishtu Sarkar, BNP leader Bir Muktijoddha Abdur Razzak, Alamgir Hossain Alam, Ataur Rahman Pata, Municipal Volunteer Party convener Mamunor Rashid Nantu, Member Secretary Mahmudul Hasan Jewel, Youth Dal leader Khorshed Alam Dipu were special guests.
