Veteran Journalist Joynal Abedin no more

Joynal Abedin, a veteran journalist and a member of National Press Club died of old age complications at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Thursday night. He was 80.
He was the correspondent of Urdu Daily Jong of Pakistan in Bangladesh. Though he was Urdu speaking, he decided to stay back in Bangladesh after liberation war while his family was living in Karachi.
He served in now defunct Pasban – an Urdu daily from Dhaka and served in ENA and some other news agencies. He was also a script write for many films which earned fame.
