The upazila administration has been monitoring the market in Sapahar, Naogaon to keep commodity prices at normal levels during the holy month of Ramadan. Sapahar Upazila Executive Officer Selim Ahmed monitored the market of all kinds of daily necessities including fish , meat , chicken , eggs , rice , pulses , onions , garlic, etc. in Sapahar Sadar from Monday morning to noon.
At that time , Assistant Commissioner ( Land ) Abida Sifat , Upazila Animal Resources Officer Golam Rabbani, Fisheries Officer Shamim Hossain , Social Worker Officer Delwar Hossain , Police Station Officer -in-Charge ( OC ) Investigation Alif Mahmud, local political leaders , public representatives, business leaders , journalists and all members of the Monitoring Committee were present there .
Upazila Executive Officer Selim Ahmed said that traders have been warned not to increase the prices of all kinds of daily necessities during the holy month of Ramadan . If any unscrupulous trader capitalizes on the holy month of Ramadan and sells daily necessities at higher prices , strict legal action will be taken against him . He also gave various guidelines to the market traders to protect the sanctity of Ramadan.
