The Branch Manager Conferences of Union Bank PLC was held on Monday at the bank’s head office, Dhaka to achieve the business target for 2024.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Union Bank PLC Md Fariduddin Ahmad was present as the chief guest.
Chairman of the audit committee Sheikh Zahidul Islam, chairman of the risk management committee Md Humayun Kabir, independent directors Md Shahidul Islam Zahid, Mohammad Saiful Alam, chairman of the Shariah supervisory committee Prof Mohammad Mozahidul Islam Chowdhury and member-secretary Mufti Mohammad Muhibbullahil Baqee were also present.
Managing Director of the bank ABM Mokammel Hoque Chowdhury presided over the conference.
The directors of the bank urged the branch managers to collect deposits and unearned investments on an urgent basis to overcome the ongoing liquidity crisis.
Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee Professor Mohammad Mozahidul Islam Chowdhury called for the observance of Sharia and want to help of Allah to resolve the ongoing crisis.
Chairman Md Fariduddin Ahmad in his speech addressed to all the Branch Managers Union Bank PLC should continue the unique example of the service and business success at home and abroad and to be more customer friendly, Shariah compliant and gain the trust of customers to make Union Bank is the best bank in the country.
In the conference also discussed in details on bank deposits, investment, foreign trade, expatriate income and various ongoing issues.
All Branch Managers were advised to achieve the business targets 2024 through providing better services.
