In a move to promote sustainability, UNDP Bangladesh has unveiled its fully electric representational car on Tuesday, marking a significant step towards the country’s green transition.
In a recent video, the Resident Representative and Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP Bangladesh elaborated on the importance of this initiative.
Stefan Liller, resident representative, expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s an amazing feeling to drive this new electric vehicle, finally, after more than one year of waiting. UNDP’s representational car is a fully electric vehicle-so smooth, so silent-and we also hope that more international missions and partners will switch to fully electric vehicles in Dhaka, helping reduce pollution and noise.”
Sonali Dayaratne, deputy resident representative, highlighted the broader implications of the transition. “This will also be part of our green transition support to the country so that we can lead by example, and this is an excellent start,” she said.
