Humanitarian efforts in the first half of 2024 have managed to reach 2.1 million individuals, but the scale of the crisis continues to grow.

The OCHA also reported on the relentless efforts of aid workers who are risking their lives to deliver support amid the conflict.

“World Humanitarian Day is a time to recognize and honor the brave aid workers who are delivering vital assistance to millions in need throughout Myanmar,” the statement said.

The statement also acknowledged the daily dangers faced by both civilians and humanitarian workers due to the ongoing conflict.
