The Adventure Club of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has successfully completed a high-altitude trek to Nepal’s renowned Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), marking a major achievement for the 23-member team.

The expedition, conducted from May 14 to May 24, 2025, was designed to instill resilience, leadership, and hands-on learning among students. After ten days of navigating rugged trails and dramatic Himalayan landscapes, the team reached the base camp—standing at 4,130 meters (13,550 feet)—on May 19.

Guided by Moinak Kanungo, ULAB’s Co-Curricular Director and Advisor to the Adventure Club, the group demonstrated remarkable discipline and teamwork in the face of steep ascents and unpredictable weather. The trek was completed without any major health or safety issues, reflecting the team’s strict compliance with acclimatization protocols and careful preparation.

“This was more than a trek—it was a life-changing experience,” said Kanungo. “It pushed us beyond our comfort zones and created a deep bond with nature and each other.”

The ULAB Adventure Club extended heartfelt congratulations to all trekkers and support crew for their determination and unity. This expedition is part of the club’s ongoing effort to promote holistic education through adventure-based initiatives that encourage sustainability, global awareness, and character development.
