Campus Reports:

The ULAB Adventure Club is proud to announce the successful completion of its high-altitude expedition to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), Nepal, with all 23 participating members safely reaching the base camp at an elevation of 4,130 meters (13,550 feet).

The challenging trek, conducted between May 14 and May 24, 2025, was part of the Adventure Club’s mission to foster experiential learning, resilience, and team-building through outdoor leadership activities. Over ten days, the group navigated rugged Himalayan terrain, fluctuating weather, and steep ascents, culminating in a triumphant arrival at Annapurna Base Camp on May 19.

Throughout the journey, participants displayed remarkable endurance, camaraderie, and discipline under the guidance of experienced leaders and support staff. All members adhered strictly to acclimatization protocols, and no major health or safety incidents were reported, a testament to the planning and preparedness behind the expedition.

“This was not just a trek-it was a transformative journey,” said Moinak Kanungo, ULAB Adventure Club Advisor and Co-Curricular Director, who led the team as Trek Leader. “It tested our limits and deepened our connection with nature, while also building a strong sense of unity among participants.”

The ULAB Adventure Club extends its heartfelt congratulations to all trekkers and support personnel who made this expedition a resounding success. This initiative is part of the club’s broader efforts to promote holistic education through adventure-based learning, sustainability, and global citizenship.
