British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke on Wednesday met with leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP), Nahid Islam and Tasnim Jara, and reiterated the United Kingdom’s continued support for a democratic and inclusive future in Bangladesh.
The British High Commission in Dhaka stated that the meeting was part of its ongoing engagements with political parties in the country, reflecting the UK’s commitment to fostering political dialogue and democratic governance.
According to the High Commission, discussions during the meeting focused on the UK’s support for Bangladesh’s journey toward a democratic, inclusive, and prosperous future.
The UK has long emphasized the importance of inclusive political processes, human rights, and good governance in its bilateral relations with Bangladesh.
