UCB inks deal with Prime Bank

Universal College Bangladesh (UCB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prime Bank PLC, creating new opportunities for UCB graduates to launch their professional careers. The signing ceremony, held at the UCB Campus in the capital on Tuesday.

Under this agreement, UCB students will gain access to placement and internship opportunities with Prime Bank PLC. The talented young resources will also benefit from training sessions, knowledge-sharing programs, guest lectures, career guidance, and mentorship to support and fastrack their professional development.

Representatives from Prime Bank PLC at the event included Deputy Managing Director Nazeem A Choudhury and DMD and Head of HRD Ziaur Rahman. Universal College Bangladesh was represented by Manas Singh, CEO of STS Group; Kingshuk Gupta, COO; S M Rahmatul Mujeeb, FCA – CFO of STS Capital Ltd.;Mustafa Waki Chowdhury, FCA – Head of Finance; and S. M. Risalat Rahman, Assistant Manager.

Commenting on the partnership, Manas Singh said, “Besides ensuring world-class educational opportunities, at UCB, we are also equipping students with scopes for practical experiences that enhance their academic achievements, and give them a realistic idea of the marketand its demands”.

Nazeem A Choudhury, DMD of Prime Bank PLC added, “We appreciate UCB coming up with such plans for industry-academia collaboration, as it helps employers to filter out the top talents who are already trained for facing the fast-tempo markets. We look forward to supporting the career growth of UCB students through providing hands-on learning and mentorship”.
