The Bangladesh U-20 National Football team will leave here for Nepal today to take part in the SAFF U-20 Championship which will be held from August 18-28 in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.
Bangladesh U-20 team has been pitted in group A along with Sri Lanka and hosts Nepal, while the group-B consists with defending champions India, Maldives and Bhutan.
Bangladesh, the three times runners-up in 2017, 2019 and 2022 edition of the championship, will start their tournament SAFF campaign when they will face Sri Lanka in their group opening match on August 20 before meeting hosts Nepal in their ultimate group match on August 22.
After the group phase matches, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals which will be held on August 26. The final of the tournament is slated on August 28.
All the matches will be held at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium.
