Two UP chairman assaulted by ruling party cadres

Two UP chairmen have been assaulted by the ruling party cadres in Jhenidah.
The two chairmen are Simlarokonpur union chairman Golam Rasul and Barobazaar UP chairman Joynal Abedin under Kaligonj upazila of the district. The chairmen alleged that the rival AL cadres have assaulted them.
UP chairman Golam Rasul of said, on Saturday evening he went to recently elected MP for his personal matter. Here some AL activists beat up him indiscriminately. Finding no alternative he left the scene.
Similarly, on Sunday noon at around 2-30 pm rival AL activists have assaulted another Barobazar UP chairman while he was waiting at LGED office of Kaliganj upazila. He added that the activists of ruling party cadres have assaulted him.
