Two drug dealers were arrested along with 11 kg of ganja in the operation of Ishwardi ‘B’ Circle of the Narcotics Control Department. The operation was carried out by setting up a temporary check post at the intersection of Naduria Chowrasta in Atgharia late at night on Monday (February 12). Abdullah Al Mamun, Inspector of Ishwardi Circle of Narcotics, led the operation.
Inspector said that the raiding party consisting of his narcotics staff searched the CNG bound for Dashuria from Khidirpur Bazar and recovered 11 kg of ganja. Meanwhile, drug dealer Abdul Matin (38) and Kausar Ali (25) who were carrying ganja were arrested. Later, the drug dealers were handed over to the police station and a regular case was filed.
