After a twelve-day recess, the 12th round of Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football will begin today with two matches are billed for the day at two separate venues.
On the day, Fortis Football Club will take on Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital, while Bangladesh Police Football Club will meet Dhaka Wanderers Club at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
Both the matches will kick-off at 3:30pm.
Earlier, in the first round matches, Fortis Football Club blanked Fakirerpool 3-0, while Police drubbed Dhaka Wanderers 4-0, both held at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.
After the 11th round matches, Fortis Football Club stood fifth position in the league table with 17 points, while Fakirerpool took eighth position with nine points.
Bangladesh Police Football Club stood sixth position in the league tale with 16 points from 11 matches, while Dhaka Wanderers Club stood ninth position in the league table with four points.
In the remaining 12th round matches on the following day (Saturday), league leaders Mohammedan Sporting Club will play against their arch-rival Abahani Limited at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla, Bashundhara Kings will meet Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj and Brothers Union Limited will face Chittagong Abahani Limited at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
