A full bench of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the government petition challenging the High Court’s verdict on Thursday.

On June 5, the High Court declared illegal the government’s 2018 decision to cancel the 30 percent quota for freedom fighters’ children in the civil service for grades nine to thirteen. Deputy Attorney General SK Shaifuzzaman announced that the quota was restored following the High Court’s decision.
