Two children died after drowned in pond at Patarchar under Muladi upazila of Barisal about 2:00 pm on Sunday afternoon.
The victims were identified as Naima, 6, daughter of Nesar Dhali and Siam, 7, son of Masud Haoladar of the area.
Dr. Saidur Rahman of Muladi upazila health complex, confirming the death reports, said the children drowned while playing near the recently excavated pond adjacent to their house and declared as dead after brought to the UZHC.
