Rubaba Zaman and Rubaiya Zaman, the identical twin sisters from Mirzapur in Tangail, have once again achieved outstanding academic success. This time, they have both secured GPA-5 in their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations from the Humanities stream at RAJUK Uttara Model School and College. Earlier, in 2023, the duo obtained GPA-5 in all subjects in their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams from Mirzapur Government Sadhoy Krishna Model High School.
Hailing from Shubulla village under Fatehpur Union in Mirzapur upazila, the sisters are daughters of contractor Md Kamruzzaman Khokon and homemaker Mahmuda Zaman. Their academic brilliance was evident from an early age, as both received talent pool scholarships in the Primary Education Completion Examination.
Speaking over the phone, their father Kamruzzaman expressed pride and joy over his daughters’ consistent success.
“My twin daughters have always been brilliant. Their achievements have brought immense happiness to our family. I request everyone to pray for their bright future,” he said.
In a joint statement, Rubaba and Rubaiya credited their success to the unwavering support of their parents, grandparents, and teachers.
“Our parents and teachers have played the biggest role in our success. In the future, we both aspire to join the BCS administration cadre and serve as magistrates. We humbly ask for everyone’s prayers so we can reach our goals,” they said.
Principal of RAJUK Uttara Model College, Brigadier General Dr. Md Enamul Islam, praised the sisters, saying,
“Rubaba and Rubaiya are calm, talented, and hardworking students. Their achievements have impressed us all. Alongside academics, they have also shown excellence in sports and cultural activities.”
