Sheikh Arif Bulbon : It has already become known to everyone that Narayanganj’s Sabrina Nowshin Tushi has topped the list of the best of the best at the ‘Channel i Shera Kontho 2023’.
During the competition, in one episode, after singing renowned singer Runa Laila’s song titled ‘O Bondhure Prano Bondhure’ sung by Tushi, guest judge of the event, legendary film actor Alamgir, said, “Tushi – Your voice is perfect for playback (movie songs). But you have to do a lot of hard work, a lot of practice.”
The opinion of the protagonist Alamgir about Tushi that day coincided with that of many present that day. That’s why Tushi has become more studious later on, keeping herself busy with regular singing practice.
On May 18, at the 19th edition of the Channel i Music Awards, in the final episode of ‘Channel i Shera Kontho 2023’, Tushi’s name was announced by eminent singer Runa Laila at the first of the four best performers. Tushi was overjoyed in this regard.
However, Tusi has already lent her voice for a playback song in a movie. However, Tushi has many dreams, including original and playback songs.
While talking in this regard, Tushi told this correspondent, “The lines of a song written and composed by our esteemed late Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul Sir are: ‘Gaan e Jibon, Gaan e Amar Pran.’ This is very true for my life. Music is my life, music is my soul. I have loved singing since I was a child. My parents, and two sisters – Tarin Apu and Shanta Apu – taught me to sing. They also inspired me so I dared to learn music. Little by little, I’ve tried to develop myself into a proper singer.”
“However, ‘Channel i Shera Kontho’ gave me a platform, my name was first announced as the best of the best in the voice of the respected Runa Laila Madam. This was a great achievement for me. This platform has helped me establish myself as a true musician in the future. But my dream about the song and revolves around Alamgir Sir’s comments about me. I want to establish myself as a playback singer. I also want to do playback in the movies of our country’s superstar hero Shakib Khan Bhai. And I want to sing more of my own original songs,” Tushi also said.
Tushi became a musician primarily to fulfill her mother Shahnaz Rob’s dream. Meanwhile, she said that she recorded an original song for BTV’s ‘Sangeeta’ programme on May 28.
It is noted that Tushi became a listed artiste on BTV in 2017. Her song was first introduced to Mojibul Haider Chowdhury Sujon. Then she learned songs one by one from Runa Rani Dhar, S M Selim, and Sheikh Jasim.
