TISOL Society of Bangladesh (TSB) and Daffodil International University (DIU) in collaboration with the British Council Bangladesh and the American Center, U.S. Embassy Dhaka are going to organise the biggest international conference of 2025, TISOL BD-DIU International Conference 2025.

The conference will be held on December 5 and 6, 2025, at Daffodil International University, Dhaka Campus, where both in-person and virtual participation will be available.

A special pre-conference event will also be held on December 4th where undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of English, as well as MPhil and PhD researchers, will have the opportunity to present their new and innovative ideas in a quick-fire round on “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Language Education”.

This initiative will encourage young researchers to get involved in the field of innovation and make their own contributions.

The theme of this year’s conference – “Bridging the Gap: Artificial Intelligence and Human-Centred Language Learning in an Era of Social Transformation” – will reflect a collective effort to explore how technology, especially artificial intelligence, can enhance language education by focusing on the human element.

Professor Dr. Gary Motterum will be the keynote speaker at the conference, along with another keynote speaker from the United States.

Renowned experts from more than ten countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Nepal, will also be participating as plenary and featured speakers, which is expected to make the conference a truly global academic gathering.

The main objective of the TISOL BD-DIU International Conference 2025 is to bring together domestic and international English language educators, researchers and teachers to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into language learning while maintaining human-centered values.

Among the topics discussed at the conference will be how language learning can be developed as an effective means of social cohesion, preservation of cultural heritage and increasing global understanding, and the role that rapidly changing technology can play in this regard.

In this conference, teachers, researchers and policymakers from Bangladesh and abroad will discuss new directions in the field of English language teaching and learning.

There has already been a lot of interest in this conference both at home and abroad. So far, about 400 research papers have been submitted by domestic and international English language researchers and teachers.

Participants will participate through paper presentations, workshops, symposiums and poster sessions, and the selected research papers will be published in a special issue of the journal of the TISOL Society of Bangladesh, which will serve as an important platform for researchers to gain international recognition and promote their research.

TISOL Society of Bangladesh has previously successfully organized two international conferences in collaboration with the University Grants Commission and the International Mother Language Institute.

Both conferences received a huge response from domestic and international educationists, teachers and researchers. In this continuation, this year’s conference is being organized in partnership with Daffodil International University.

Daffodil International University has created a wonderful student-friendly environment with all the international standard facilities and as a result, it has been recognized as one of the leading educational institutions in the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings, which is a great pride and joy for the TISOL Society of Bangladesh as a partner.

This 2025 international conference is undoubtedly going to be an extraordinary and world-class event in the field of English language education.

TISOL Society of Bangladesh cordially invites domestic and foreign English language teachers, researchers and professionals to participate in this international conference-so that together we can open a new horizon of human-centered language education in the era of artificial intelligence.
