Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has expressed optimism that Donald Trump, having returned to the White House, might view Bangladesh as a promising investment opportunity and a strategic commercial partner.
He said he intended to pitch this to Musk during his visit, reports UK-based The Guardian on Monday.
Recently, the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmed Tayeb, revealed that several Bangladeshi companies are partnering with Starlink, owned by Elon Musk, to help set up ground earth stations in Bangladesh.
The chief adviser has directed Dr Khalilur Rahman, his high representative, to coordinate closely with the SpaceX team and complete all necessary tasks for launching Starlink in Bangladesh within the next 90 working days.
