Miscreants set a truck on fire on Bangabandhu Bridge West Link Highway, at Jhaoil Overbridge in Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj district, this morning during the ongoing 48-hour blockade called by BNP, Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties.
Abdul Quader Jilani, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge West Police Station, said a group of miscreants intercepted the poultry feed-carrying truck from Rajshahi at 7 am and set it on fire.
On information, police rushed to the spot and doused the fire with the help of local people.
Besides, picketers also vandalised a number of vehicles on the highway early This morning.
