The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday issued a warrant to arrest the alleged Razakar commander from Tarail area of Kishoreganj district Mohammad Hassan alias Hassan Ali accepting a plea of the prosecution.
Justice M Enayetur Rahim, chairman of the three-member panel of ICT-1, issued the order and also asked the prosecution to submit the progress report into investigation against Hassan by May 15.
Prosecutor Abul Kalam Azad filed the petition with the office of the ICT registrar on Tuesday. Prosecutors Mokhlesur Rahman Badal and Abul Kalam Azam took part in the hearing in support of their plea, saying the investigation agency has come to know about two incidents in which three people were killed in Tarail area of Kishoreganj in 1971. “Currently the accused is living at Machihata village in Brahmanbaria, adjacent to the Indian border.
