The charge sheet in the child rape case of Achiya in Magura has been prepared. It will be submitted to the court on Sunday (April 13), according to Legal Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul.
He also stated that the trial will be completed within 90 days. He made these remarks while speaking to journalists at the Secretariat on Sunday.
On March 6, the child was raped while visiting her sister-in-law’s house in Magura town.
The following day, she was admitted to the 250-bed Magura General Hospital.
As her condition worsened, she was transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital the same afternoon for better treatment. That night, she was further referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The next day, the child was placed on life support. On the evening of March 8,
she was transferred from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
The following day, she was admitted to the Pediatric ICU at CMH, where she passed away on March 13 at noon while undergoing treatment.
