Trial begins against 5 former Rly officials

The trial of five former railway officials including former General Manager, East Zone Yousuf Ali Mridha as filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission, Chittagong chapter . ACC sued them in recovery of sack filled money allegedly accused with employment trade in railway east zone.The trial begins in the Metropolitan Session Judge court of Chittagong of Judge SM Mujibur Rahman yesterday against the five accused. The court fixed the date of submission of depositions of the witnesses on February 24 next. Court sources said the court framed charge sheet against the accused in the meantime.
The accused in the suit than former GM, are Social Welfare officer Golam Kibria , former additional chief engineer Hafizu Rahman, two job seekers Abul Kashem and Anisur Rahman. All the accused are absconding, sources said. Asstt Director of ACC, Chittagong Md. Reshedur Reza filed the case before the Kotwali thana on September 13, 2012
