A court has imposed a travel ban on former Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan, his wife Tahmida Begum, son Sheikh Labib Hannan, and an associate named Sanjida Akter. On Monday (May 5), the Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md. Zakir Hossain Galib issued the order following a petition from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). ACC spokesperson Akhtarul Islam confirmed the development.
On that day, ACC Deputy Director Md. Tanzir Hasib Sarkar filed the petition seeking a travel ban.
The petition stated that Sheikh Abdul Hannan is under investigation for allegations of abuse of power, causing financial loss to the state, accepting bribes, involvement in recruitment trade.
