A training workshop on the implementation guidelines of the Mother and Child Benefit Program was held in Chatmohar, Pabna. This day-long workshop was conducted under the ‘Supporting Implementation of the Mother and Child Benefit Program’ project at the initiative of the Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer’s office in the Upazila Parishad meeting room on Tuesday.
The workshop was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Municipal Administrator Musa Naser Chowdhury, while the special guest was Md. Jilal Uddin, Deputy Director of the Women’s Affairs Department, Pabna. The main presentation of the workshop was delivered by Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Md. Mahmuda Sultana.
The discussion was attended by Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Manjurul Alam, Upazila Engineer Enamul Kabir, Municipality Assistant Engineer Rafiul Bari, Upazila Education Officer A. Gani, Social Service Officer Md. Sohel Rana, Youth Development Officer Abdul Mabud, Press Club President Helalur Rahman Jewel, among others. The Project Director joined the workshop virtually.
During the workshop, a proposal was made to conduct extensive publicity, as the target number of maternity allowance recipients in the municipal area had not been achieved. Additionally, various issues were discussed, including strengthening monitoring activities and ensuring the opening of bank accounts.
