Plant Pathology Division of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged a farmer training on “Smart Onion Production Technology and Disease Management” at the BARI Seminar Room on Monday. The project funded by Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF). A total of 50 farmers from different regions of the country participated in the training program.
Chief Scientific Officer (Plant Pathology Division) Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman presided over the session while Director General of BARI Dr. Debasish Sarker was present as chief guest.
Director (Training and Communication) Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam, Director (Research) Dr. Md. Abdullah Yousuf Akhond and Director (Horticulture Research Centre) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad were present as special guests. At this time, Director (Oilseed Research) Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Chief Scientific Officer (Agronomy Division) Dr. Md. Abu Hena Sorwar Jahan, Chief Scientific Officer (Soil Science Division) Dr. Habib Mohammad Naser and Chief Scientific Officer (Agricultural Economics Division) Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid were present the training program.
Senior scientists from various divisions/centers/section of BARI were present there also. Principal Scientific Officer (Plant Pathology Division) Dr. Md. Iqbal Faruk gave the welcome address in this program.
