A two-day basic training session on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) was successfully conducted at the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) office in Agargaon.

The training programme was designed for key agencies involved in Bangladesh’s transportation and infrastructure sectors, including the Department of Roads & Highways (RHD), Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC), Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA), and Bangladesh Railway (BR).

The training session, aimed at strengthening the capacity of these agencies in implementing and managing PPP projects, was inaugurated by Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public-Private Partnership Authority.

The CEO emphasized the importance of effective collaboration between the public and private sectors to accelerate infrastructure development, improve service delivery, and meet the growing demands of Bangladesh’s rapidly expanding urban and transportation networks, says a press release.

“The role of PPPs in building a sustainable and efficient infrastructure ecosystem is vital, especially as we work towards achieving our long-term growth goals,” said CEO Muhammad Rafiqul Islam.
