Actress Mumtahina Chowdhury Toya started her journey in the media through the ‘Channel i-Lux Superstar’ competition in 2010.
The following year, she made her acting debut with a telefilm titled ‘Odekha Megher Kabbyo’. After that, she has been working regularly in showbiz.
After acting in the short film ‘Bhalobasar Rong,’ directed by Topu Khan in 2023, Toya was not seen on screen again.
The latest news is that the actress is returning to the screen after almost a year and a half. However, she is not returning to a drama, but to present a show.
The actress recently completed the shooting of the second episode of the hosting related reality show ‘Art of Plating’.
Toya said about the ‘Art of Plating’ reality show, “This reality show is about how beautifully food can be presented, that is, plated, after cooking.”
Regarding returning to work after a break, Toya said, “I took a break from work of my own free will. It was necessary for me. I returned to work after about a year and a half. I feel very good. The first two days were very difficult due to the break. Gradually, that got better. I enjoyed the programme a lot.”
The ‘Art of Plating’ programme is being aired every Friday and Saturday from April 25 on Banglavision at 8:15pm, RTV at 7:10pm, and on Deepto TV at 9:30pm.
Toya said that she will not only be a presenter, but also a regular in acting.
She said that she is already in talks about a few projects. Toya will provide details when everything is finalised.
