Thousands of tourists flock to the beach in Kuakata, famous as Sagor Kanya (girl of the sea) , for the weekend holyday.
The arriving tourists are having fun with the waves of the sea.
Some are sitting on the benches of the beach and enjoying the natural beauty.
In addition, there is an increased presence of tourists at the estuaries of three rivers, Jhauban, Shutki Palli, Gangamati and Lal Kakrar Char, Mishripara Buddhist Temple and various islands and forests along the sea route.
According to the Kuakata Hotel Motel Owners Association, about 80% of hotels in Kuakata have already been booked.
In addition to the weekend holidays on Friday and Saturday, a month-long tourism fair is being organized in Kuakata.
This fair includes various cultural activities, exhibitions of local products and special entertainment arrangements, which are attracting tourists.
Sales have increased in food hotels and residential hotels.
Tourist police are active for the safety of incoming tourists.
Hasib Mahmud, a tourist from Dhaka, said, “The natural beauty and peaceful environment of Kuakata are truly enchanting.
It seems worthwhile to come to watch the sunrise and sunset on the beach here. There is even more joy on the occasion of the fair.”
Sohel Zaman from Faridpur said, all tourism-related businesses need to further improve the quality of services.
Kuakata tourism is enjoying the benefits of the Padma Bridge.
Now it is urgent to upgrade the Faridpur-Kuakata highway to six lanes.
