Jatiya Chhatra Shakti – Joypurhat district branch has held a protest and torchlight procession in protest of the shooting and terrorist attack on Osman Hadi, an independent MP candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.
On Friday (December 12), the torch procession started from the city’s Shaheed Daktar Abul Kashem Maidan at 6:30 pm and ended at Panchur intersection after circumambulating the main road in the city. Jatiya Chhatra Shakti Joypurhat district branch convener Syed Ahmed Ullah Shakil, senior joint convener Nafi Dewan, district member secretary Md. Rahisul Islam, NCP leader Borhan, and district branch member secretary of Orios of July Rashedul Islam spoke there. District NCP joint convener Golam Kabir, joint member secretary Zahura Begum, organizing secretary Ismail Hossain Hadi, and other leaders and activists were present at the time. At the end of the march, leaders and activists demanded the arrest of the attackers within 24 hours and a fair trial.
