Md. Jasim Uddin, Joint Secretary of the Excise Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, inspected Lakeview Garden located in Dharabahor village of Amura Union in Golapganj Upazila of Sylhet.
On Saturday (June 28) afternoon, Joint Secretary Md. Jasim Uddin inspected Lakeview Garden.
During the inspection, Deepak Kumar Pal, Training Officer of the Sylhet District Agricultural Extension Department, Md. Mashreful Alam, Golapganj Upazila Agricultural Officer, and Masrur Rahman, Deputy Assistant Officer of the Upazila Agricultural Office were present with him.
The guests toured different parts of the garden and expressed satisfaction at seeing various varieties of fruit trees including pineapple, orange, malta, lemon there. Anwar Humayun, who is involved in the management of the garden, informed the officials about future plans and expansion initiatives.
After the inspection, the Joint Secretary expressed satisfaction with the potential of Lakeview Garden and assured to supply various varieties of seedlings through government initiatives in the future. At the same time, he suggested developing the garden as a beautiful and promising tourist spot.
Local media worker Imran Ahmed, prominent figures from the village and representatives of civil society were present at the time.
It is worth noting that the journey of Lakeview Garden, built on 1200 acres of land surrounded by greenery, began in March 2025. It is planned to open it to the public in July 2026. Lakeview Garden and Resort Chairman, prominent writer and journalist Anwar Shahjahan is firmly committed to developing it as a unique address for enjoying natural beauty and family happiness in Golapganj.
