BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that to save the country, the Sheaf of Paddy (Dhaner Shish) must win; there is no alternative.
He said people’s right to live is inherent. People must be ensured the right to live with dignity.
Through the Family Card, we want to gradually make the women of the entire country self-reliant. Through this initiative, we want to build a strong economic foundation.
He said these things on Wednesday at a views-exchange meeting titled “Plan to Build the Nation” held at the Krishibid Institute auditorium in the capital.
Leaders and activists of Jubo Dal and Krishak Dal participated in the meeting.
The session was presided over by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, and conducted by the party’s Joint Secretary General Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel.
Tarique Rahman said, during the previous fascist Awami League government, human rights were violated in such a manner that we do not want human rights to be violated in anyone’s life ever again-neither do I.
Expressing his wish to build an education system where students become proficient in English as well as a third foreign language, he said: we will not undertake any mega project, as these create opportunities for corruption.
We will invest in education and human resource development. Gradually, we will focus on agricultural exports.
Tarique Rahman said that if BNP comes to power, one lakh (100,000) health workers will be appointed, of whom 80-85 percent will be women.
If we can start population-control work properly, we will begin to see results in 10 years.
The ministries of education, health, and sports will work together throughout the year.
Stating that they would gradually prioritize agricultural exports, he said: there are no playgrounds in suffocating urban areas; we will build playgrounds.
No political party has presented a plan on how to run the Bangladesh of the future-only BNP has. Tarique Rahman pledged that they want to implement their plan.
